Areas of Expertise
Counselling
I offer virtual and in-person counselling for individual adults and older youth who are seeking healing and growth through a Catholic, spiritually integrated approach. My practice combines insights from theology, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), creating space to explore your story with compassion, courage, gentleness and openness to God’s healing grace.

Because of the depth of this work, I offer 75-minute sessions at a set rate of $220.
Sessions are available in Beaumont, Alberta, or online across Alberta.
If what you’ve read here resonates, I’d be honoured to journey with you.

Spiritual Integration
I believe healing happens when we make space to listen — to the innermost Self, to all our parts, and to God’s voice.

I offer spiritually integrated therapy that weaves together faith and prayer, helping clients explore how grace and compassion can meet them in the realities of their lives — and reach the parts of themselves that feel most exiled or burdened.

While I work with clients from many cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, my specialization is Catholic counselling that honours the whole of who you are and who God created you to be

Areas of Advanced Training and Experience
I bring a breadth of experience and ongoing formation to my work. I engage in regular professional development, personal work, and supervision — especially in the area of Catholic -- informed Internal Family Systems (IFS). I also have specialized training and experience in:
• Anxiety and stress
• Spiritual and religious trauma
• Life transitions
• Trauma recovery (EMDR-trained)
• Relationship challenges (drawing on Gottman Method training)
• Grief and loss
• Addictions
• Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed therapy

About
First I want to say welcome.
I am honoured that you are here.

I love what I do, it is a sacred joy to be a part of people’s journeys.
My desire to be a therapist comes from a belief in the individual’s capacity for healing and growth. I believe that you have this capacity.

It takes tremendous courage to show up honestly in therapy, and if you have the willingness and openness to do that, then growth is possible. Sometimes we need a supportive environment to take this step, just like a greenhouse.

Our Catholic faith teaches that suffering can be a means of salvation and God’s grace. I will meet this suffering in you with compassion. Often my role is to be a gentle mirror, helping you see yourself a little more clearly, so that insight and hope can grow.

I will receive all of you as created good, with dignity, even the parts you find hard to love.

In this work, slow is fast, and I will be patient with your process.
When I make mistakes, I will own them and take responsibility for my parts.

A Bit More of My Story…

After high school I served a year of missionary work with NET (National Evangelization Teams). I discovered a passion for ministry, especially relational ministry.

I then graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Care. This degree gave me a foundation in understanding the human person and a heart for listening.

I went on to receive a Master of Divinity in 2009 from Newman Theological College in Edmonton, then a Master of Psychotherapy and Spirituality (my capstone can be found here) from St. Stephen's College, Edmonton.

For many years, I have served the Church and offered pastoral counselling. Since 2015, I have been at the University of Alberta, where I currently serve as the Director of Campus Ministry at St. Joseph’s College.

I’m also a wife and mother of five children, two of whom are now adults. I grew up in Victoria and have called Alberta home since 2004.

If this feels like it might be a good fit, I’d love to meet you.
